05.27.2008 | The Daytripper Experience
Well unlike the name suggests, it wasn't a hallucinogenic experience, yet it was an amazing time. Who wouldn't want to hang out in an atmosphere where there are gorgeous individuals mingling, amazing tunes coming out of two rooms, pin up models and an ambiance as close to being in a tropical / exotic island setting, with out actually being there. At least recreating a similar feel within an indoor establishment. Seeings how there was a lot of bamboo present, many a tiki's staring you down and great color schemes make for some very nice interior design and decor. Pretty much the kind of place Don the Beachcomber would enjoy! There was also much dancing to some great tunes spun by Chelsee which was rather cool. Having played music that most clubs do not have the nerve to play. A little bit of soul, well actually a lot, but I'm sure you get the picture. Not to mention that she is rather pleasant to look at, which barely begins to sum up her and her set. The other dj's were the ever popular Robert Miranda and Jay Smalls, these two rocked the house with some very cool garage, post punk and good ole rock n roll. We shall not forget to mention the bands and burlesque dancers that blew off the roof. The United Snakes, Sin Alley and 7 Dirty Words entertained the crowd as with the performances by the lovely Ruby Champagne, Miss Cinnamon Britches and Bunny Bravo.
The part that appealed to me most of all was that this was an older crowd, not some 18 year old shindig. The Sideshow productions cater to a mature clientele base. Which makes it nice not having to deal with the antics of the youngins, though you do have to deal with that, from the old timers over 21!

Hey everyone, thanks to all of you who made it out to the Premiere Edition of ROCK 'N ROLL CABARET this past Friday Night at VERTIGOS. It was a great night thanks to all of you, who came. We will have pictures for you soon, check back soon. The music was only one of the great things about this event. That was followed by a set from DJ DEVIL ONE of Psychotonic, where he mixed great vintage tunes, all the way from 50's Rock 'n Roll, R&B, 60's Garage Rock, Funk & Soul. Everyone enjoyed the dance floor while others lounged around, took pictures and hung out w/ the beautiful Masuimi Max. Don't forget about next Month, when we'll do it all over again. This time with the great Wild Records Recording artist Luis & The Wildfires, plus a spectacular Burlesque performance by Miss Rockwell DeVil & Joeli, Plus more to be added. Don't miss it.

06.24.2007 | Black Tie Dynasty @ Vertigos
Cheesus Crackers! I just wanted to take a moment to thank EVERY-FUCKING-BODY who came out to support on saturday. I was amazed! Had a STUPID fun time, it was awesome seeing all of you, some faces that I haven't seen in bloody YEARS! Also wanted to thank Eddie, Blake, Brian and Cory...the super COOL ASS guys from Black Tie Dynasty. If you weren't there, you missed a fucking musical orgasm. These guys didn't just blow the roof off the joint, they KILLED IT PERFECTLY! Guess living in LA, we get kind of numb to great live music in this city(it's too UNCOOL in this fucking town to dance and tap your feet to a live band) but all inhibitions were LOST saturday when the these guys had the entire club dancing and singing along, even my brother at arms and music nazi Bobby Miranda! It was a beautiful thing! I've heard and I've read that Black Tie Dynasty was great live, but to say that I was super fucking impressed and blown away is definitely NOT enough to say. Anyway, just wanted to thank my friends, new and "REFINED" who made it, thank the bands who also came out to show support, Misa (great job my man!), Robert Risque for some good ass shaking and again, thanks to Black Tie Dynasty for coming to LA and showing us the goods. Have a safe and brilliant rest of the tour!
